UTICA-ROME — Just a few days after announcing it’s going to be the new home of Bill Keeler’s morning show soon, classic rocker 92.7 The Drive (WXUR) is refreshing the rest of its weekday lineup.

Keeler, who was recently dismissed after 13 years across town on 950 WIBX, returns to the local airwaves at 92.7 The Drive on Tuesday, September 8. He’s bringing along his former WIBX producer Davey Smith and newsman Jeff Monaski, along with former WUTQ talk host Jay Aiello.

The same day Keeler makes his debut, the rest of these changes will also take effect, according to WXUR program director “Genesee Joe” Trisolino:

  • 5-9 am : Keeler in the Morning with Bill Keeler, Jeff Monaski, Davey Smith, Jay Aiello and crew
  • 9am – 2pm : Rick DeVoe
  • 2-7pm : Genesee Joe
  • 7pm – Midnight : Matt McMullen
  • Midnight – 5am : BBQ Bob

Rick DeVoe, who has been local host / board op for the syndicated “Bob and Tom Show” will get a full airshift of his own, expanding from the single hour (10am) that he has to himself now.

With Rick’s new shift ending at 2pm, Genesee Joe slides his show up by a full hour. Matt McMullen moves from middays to evenings, which in turn pushes “BBQ Bob” from evenings to overnights.

No changes to the weekend schedule, which features “The Doctor” Jerry Kraus, Lady Di, Lisa Berrigan, Craig Bailey and Sammy Hagar. WXUR is locally owned by Arjuna Broadcasting.

Our thanks to Genesee Joe for sending in this info!
