Radio managers react to WIXT sale

Clear Channel Communications announced yesterday that it plans to acquire the Ackerley Group, which owns local television station WIXT Channel 9.

While Joel Delmonico, general manager of the six Syracuse Clear Channel radio stations in Syracuse, declined to comment on the proposed deal, Galaxy Communications owner Ed Levine is concerned about how the sale would effect healthy competition.
