WHCU Marks Anniversary By Expanding March 12th, 2008 Ithaca news/talker WHCU 870 is celebrating it’s 85th Anniversary by expanding the news department. The station is hoping to add a full-time position to take on afternoon anchoring and evening reporting duties.

WRVO reaches goal in record time March 26th, 2002 Thanks to a quiet off-air fundraising campaign in Februrary which raised $90,000, public radio station WRVO was able to shorten the length of its on-air pitches last week. The station met its goal of $130,000 on Saturday morning shortly after Car Talk ended. The fund drive resulted in 400 new contributing members.
