The long-running local music show Soundcheck has been pulled from 95X's lineup. The station's program director, Bob O'Dell, says the decision was a tough one, but that Soundcheck didn't fit with 95X's recent format shift from classic to active rock.

Dick Carr's Big Bands, Ballads and Blues has been part of the Monday night lineup on Jazz 88 (WAER) since October 2001. Carr, a former Syracuse and New York City radio executive, recently connected with the WOR Radio Network to syndicate the show nationally.
