What a slooooow week this was!  We only had one new story since last week’s POTW.  It was such a slow week, we had to go back in time for the latest POTW.  We found this one at the Utica AM Radio Website, and the owners could use some help identifying one of these guys.

K-Rock middayer and acting PD “Ty” has accepted a new job in Baltimore, according to the national trades.  She’ll be doing middays at alternative rocker Channel 104.3 (WCHH).  In addition to the on-air shift, she’ll serve as APD and MD for the Clear Channel station.

After disappearing for ten years, Galaxy Communications has revived “Fireworks Over Central New York,” which took place yesterday at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds in Frankfort.  The Utica Observer-Dispatch has a report on the event, followed by a mixture of positive and negative reviews from readers.

Cameras are being installed in the studios of the syndicated “Bob and Tom” morning show — in preparation for the show’s leap to TV this fall.  The new show will air nationwide on the “WGN America” cable channel, starting November 3rd.

Following up on an earlier story, we’ve noticed Lite 98.7 has announced Trudy’s first day back at WLZW will be this coming Monday, August 25.  She replaces Greg McShea, who slides over to the midday shift at Regent’s country station, Big Frog 104.

Warren Kurtzman, formerly of the old WUUU (102.5) in Rome and WVBR in Ithaca, has been named President and COO of Coleman Insights, according to an article from FMQB.

Regent Communications is at risk of being delisted from the NASDAQ stock market, according to business newspaper report in Cincinnati, the home of Regent corporate HQ.  The owner of 62 stations — including four in Utica-Rome — has been trading below NASDAQ’s $1.00 minimum for more than 30 consecutive trading days.

A couple of “insiders” at Regent’s Utica-Rome cluster tell CNYRadio.com we can expect to see some interesting talent lineup changes, as the cluster fills two vacancies we first told you about last month.  The switcheroo includes the return of one personality who left the market a few years ago.

Sorry we’re a few days late on this one — it’s the first time we’ve had really good internet access during our summer vacation, so we just noticed Arbitron has released the P12+ ratings for the Syracuse and Utica-Rome markets.  It appears Clear Channel’s WBBS (B104.7) and Regent’s Lite 98.7 (WLZW) are the clear winners in
