All seven stations in Saga’s Cayuga Radio Group urged listeners for contributions to help bring a new police K-9 to Tompkins County after the previous dog, Major, recently died of cancer. Listeners surpassed all expectations.

It’s a fast paced job, and while experience is preferred — especially with Marketron — training will be provided for the right candidate.
ITHACA — Saga news/talker WHCU is back on the FM dial. Well, it’s already on the FM dial if you have an HD Radio receiver, but now you can listen with a regular FM radio. The station’s primary coverage on 870AM is now supplemented by the return of translator W240CB at 95.9FM.
ITHACA/CORTLAND — Saga’s “Cayuga Radio Group” is adding more NYSBA Excellence in Broadcasting trophies to its collection. The station won a pair of awards at NYSBA’s annual awards competition last night in Bolton Landing, north of Albany.
ITHACA/CORTLAND — It’s a special edition of the locally-produced Homemade Jam this weekend on rocker I-100 (WIII). The show will be paying tribute to Cortland native and rock star Ronnie James Dio, who died this past Monday at the age of 67. Dio’s wife announced last November that Dio had been diagnosed with stomach cancer.
