Dick Carr's syndicated Big Bands, Ballads & Blues has picked up its 40th affiliate station. Beginning next month, WRUN in Utica-Rome will carry the two-hour weekly show featuring a mix of adult standards and jazz masters. The program is hosted and produced by Syracuse resident Dick Carr and is marketed by the WOR Radio Network.

SYRACUSE -- Oldies 92.1 (WSEN) is swapping out specialty shows on its Monday night lineup. Beginning this week, Ross Brittain's Hit Machine, which features music from the 1970s, replaces Jack Dean's Keeping the '70s Alive every Monday at 9 p.m.
The show got its start on Jazz 88 (WAER) almost two years ago, and a syndicated version was picked up by the WOR Network and 30 stations across the country earlier this year. Now, Big Bands, Ballads, and Blues is moving to TalkRadio 1050 (WFBL) in Syracuse on Sundays from 8 - 10 a.m.
Dick Carr's Big Bands, Ballads and Blues has been part of the Monday night lineup on Jazz 88 (WAER) since October 2001. Carr, a former Syracuse and New York City radio executive, recently connected with the WOR Radio Network to syndicate the show nationally.

WFBL 1050 AM has added two syndicated shows to its weekend lineup.
Yesterday, Buckley Radio switched its four Hartford-area AM stations from an adult standards format to news-talk. The new lineup includes WDRC morning host Brad Davis, Dr. Joy Browne, and the Dolans.
Shortly after Oldies 92.1 (WSEN-FM) signed on with the BlueDot Network for its content management needs for its station web site, SiteShell Corporation, which owns BlueDot, closed up shop last month.
