Good news for two former local radio personalities — within the past week, both Rick “RJ” Jordan and Sonny King have found new “big” jobs on the radio.  But fans will have to make an effort to hear either one, as both jobs are outside of CNYRadio.com territory.

ROCHESTER — Have you ever considered some of the difficult situations record company reps endure in order to bring a popular artist to your radio station? Former CNY radio personality RJ Jordan recently received some national press, sharing one of his travel horror stories as a record rep.

Updated 12/18 at 7:30pm: ROCHESTER — Less than six months after Rick “RJ” Jordan signed a deal to work in promotions for Stroudavarious Records, he’s on the move again.

SYRACUSE — Look for a new imaging voice on Classic Hits 92.1 (WSEN).  The station is one of three new clients of V/O talent Rachel Logan of the Imaging Chop Shop, according to AllAccess.com.

Last month, Y94FM program director and afternoon air personality Rich Lauber added programming duties at sister station B104.7. This week, he moves his on-air duties over to WBBS as well.

Former B104.7 Program Director and afternoon air personality Rick “RJ” Jordan has left his new job at country station WPOR in Portland, Maine. Jordan resigned for personal reasons after only a week on the job.

Rich Lauber, who was part of B104.7’s sign-on as a country station ten years ago, will take over the role of Program Director vacated by Rick Jordan, who left earlier this month for a station in Portland, Maine. Lauber, Operations Director at the Clear Channel cluster of stations in Syracuse, also oversees programming at Y94FM.

B104.7 (WBBS) Program Director and afternoon drive air personality Rick Jordan has accepted a new position at WPOR in Portland, Maine. Jordan, who joined B104.7 in 1997, will continue to wear his Program Director hat and also do an on-air shift at the country format station.
