ITHACA/CORTLAND -- A new FM translator is making it easier for sports talk fans to find ESPN Radio 1160 (WPIE), especially at night. The station is now simulcasting on 107.1 FM (W296CP), after clearing up some unexpected complications that delayed the "official" FM launch by a few months.
ITHACA -- ESPN Radio 1160 (WPIE) has an opening for an operations manager and program director. The position also includes some on-air responsibilities, including some play-by-play of local sports, and hosting the station's hour-long "Between the Lines" show every weekday afternoon. ITHACA -- Former Ithaca Journal sports editor Brian Delaney has traded in print for electronic media, joining the staff at Taughannock Media's ESPN Radio 1160 (WPIE). His official title of Reporter and Account Manager includes duties co-hosting the station's afternoon talk show, Between the Lines.
ITHACA -- It's not often we hear about news from ESPN Radio 1160 (WPIE) in Ithaca -- but multiple reports say owner Pembrook Pines is selling the station for $150,000. Incoming owner Taughannock Media hasn't closed on the deal yet, but they're already taking over sales efforts for the station.
