The show got its start on Jazz 88 (WAER) almost two years ago, and a syndicated version was picked up by the WOR Network and 30 stations across the country earlier this year. Now, Big Bands, Ballads, and Blues is moving to TalkRadio 1050 (WFBL) in Syracuse on Sundays from 8 - 10 a.m.
Dick Carr's Big Bands, Ballads and Blues has been part of the Monday night lineup on Jazz 88 (WAER) since October 2001. Carr, a former Syracuse and New York City radio executive, recently connected with the WOR Radio Network to syndicate the show nationally.
The cast list for Art Zimmer's play Cruizin' Thru the 50's is coming together and includes a number of high-profile Syracuse radio personalities.
