The format wheel was spinning this weekend at WHTR FM 93.7 near Albany. After looping "Anarchy in the U.K." for a bit, the Galaxy Communications station simulcasted K-Rock's (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) programming for the weekend before the wheel stopped for good on Monday afternoon with the station's debut of a new hot talk format.
Syracuse-based Galaxy Communications has completed its purchase of WHTR-FM in Corinth for $2.4 million. Within the next few weeks expect a new antenna in Rotterdam, a new city of license in Scotia, and a change in frequency from 93.5 to 93.7.
