SYRACUSE -- The sudden simulcast change on WSEN(AM) yesterday morning is the first step towards a brand new format at 1050 on the AM dial. That's what CNYRadio.com has learned this morning from General Manager Judy Kelly, two days after Leatherstocking Media Group has effectively overtaken the Buckley cluster through an LMA.
SYRACUSE -- Change is already in the air at the Buckley Radio compound in Baldwinsville, just a day after Leatherstocking Media Group's LMA on the cluster went into effect. WSEN AM and FM are no longer simulcasting the same "Classic Hits" format. Instead, WSEN 1050AM is simulcasting WFBL's "Oldies 1390" format.
SYRACUSE -- The pricetag on the sale of Buckley Radio's three-station Syracuse cluster to James V. Johnson's Leatherstocking Media Group was revealed today. In documents filed with the FCC, the purchase price is listed as $2.1 million.

SYRACUSE -- Look for a new imaging voice on Classic Hits 92.1 (WSEN). The station is one of three new clients of V/O talent Rachel Logan of the Imaging Chop Shop, according to AllAccess.com.
Stations all over the country have been paying tribute to Michael Jackson, since the news broke of the singer's sudden death at the age of 50 on Thursday. Several in Central New York were among them, including at least two that threw out their regular formats to play the King of Pop's hits exclusively.
This may be old news to some, but we just first heard about it in this morning's Tom Taylor on Radio-Info e-newsletter -- Casey Kasem's last new countdown will air on Independence Day weekend.
SYRACUSE -- They're competitors on the radio -- battling for the same pool of listeners and advertising dollars. But off-air, you won't see a re-enactment of the fight scene from Anchorman. Instead, you're more likely to catch these guys huddling up to smile for the camera.
SYRACUSE (Updated 12:30pm on 3/14) -- Buckley Broadcasting GM Judy Kelly now confirms the dismissal of Diane Wade from Classic Hits 92.1 (WSEN) following her air shift Friday. Kelly says "it's simply a matter of economics" and she hopes conditions improve soon.
