Syracuse's Landmark Theatre hopes that planned renovations to the historic theater will help it bring top shelf, Broadway sized shows to town on a regular basis. Assemblyman William Magnarelli announced yesterday that the theater is in line for $3.8 million in state grants to help with renovation efforts. The Landmark is also working on a deal with Clear Channel Communications, owner of 16 Central New York radio stations, to bring modern stage productions such as 'The Lion King' or 'The Producers' to the theater on a regular basis.
