Updated 5/12 at 7:50pm UTICA-ROME -- Keith Anderson and the group "Trailer Choir" are the two headliners at this year's Frogfest, the annual listener appreciation concert organized by Big Frog 104 (WFRG). The Regent country station has been trickling out the list of performers one by one since last week.
Until today, the names have all been local or regional acts, including some that have been "regulars" at Frogfest for many years. Here's the complete lineup as it stood on Monday, as posted on the station website:
The concert is set to take place all day Saturday, June 20 at Verona Beach State Park. This will be the 21st year for Frogfest. Incidentally, the station celebrates its 21st birthday on June 1st -- it's also the anniversary date for morning co-host Matt Herkimer, who has held that timeslot from the very beginning.
Longtime listeners and radio buffs will remember WFRG launched in 1988 as "96 Frog," with studios on South Jay Street in Rome. It was also the very first Frog-branded station in the country. Catch more WFRG history on the CNYRadio.com Station Wiki.
