SYRACUSE -- For the first time since the "Irish Power Hour" debuted on Lite Rock 105.9 (WLTI) last March, the show is hitting the road for a live broadcast at Tipperary Hill's Blarney Stone Tavern this weekend.
According to the Syracuse Post-Standard, co-hosts Sean Johnston and Cabrina Gilbert will be playing covers of popular Celtic rock bands including Great Big Sea, Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly. Some tickets to the latter band's February 28th show in Rochester will be given away. Fans need to sign up for a special text messaging service to qualify for the tickets and other giveaways.
Even though The Irish Power Hour airs Sunday nights from 6-7pm on WLTI, it's reported that Johnston and Gilbert will continue to perform at the tavern (Google Map) until 8pm.
