SYRACUSE — Geographically, they may be closer to Villanova, Pennsylvania, but spiritually, Big D and Bubba were rooting with the 34,616 fans in the Carrier Dome for the Orange to BEAT NOVA last Saturday night.

SYRACUSE — Jamie “Big Smoothie” Hantke is back on the roster at Citadel rocker 95X (WAQX).  You may remember him as the host of “The People’s Show” weekday evenings in the mid 2000s.  Jacobs recently rejoined the lineup for weekend duty: he’s on Saturdays 10a-3p and Sundays 7a-1p.

OSWEGO — Dave Bullard is back on the airwaves as the new Senior News Reporter/Producer at the WRVO Stations.  He posted the news on his Facebook page last week, he started at the NPR affiliate on Monday and his first story aired today.

SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME — Arbitron continues to embargo the public release of ratings information for these two markets, but the competing Eastlan Ratings service is now sharing its version of the station performance story with the general public.

SYRACUSE — After a full day of stunting with random classic television theme songs, the anticipated all-talk format is now in place on Citadel’s WLTTI.  “105.9 The Big Talker” debuted this morning with the syndicated Bob & Tom Show.

UTICA — Lots of people in the Mohawk Valley are familiar with “Heart Weekend” but did you know it all started with a radiothon on WIBX almost four decades ago?  The news/talker is getting ready to go live for its 39th year of raising money for the American Heart Association this Friday and Saturday.

SYRACUSE — According to New Country WOLF 105.1’s Facebook page, Chili Palmer has been hired for middays.  The name was mentioned in a status update at about 8:00pm Monday, but no bio or other details have been posted on the station website as of this writing (8:10pm).
