SYRACUSE -- Public broadcaster WCNY says tickets are still available for "The Party: WCNY's New Year Celebration," happening at the Oncenter Ballroom in Syracuse. Admission includes food, an open bar and a midnight champagne toast. For those who prefer a quieter New Year's Eve at home, WCNY will televise the event live.
Tickets are $135 per person, with proceeds to benefit the operations of WCNY's television and radio operations. From a press release about the event:
“Our event does indeed benefit WCNY, but that’s where any resemblance to a fundraiser ends,” said Robert J. Daino, President and CEO of WCNY. “The Party will have no speeches or awards…just a chance to celebrate the New Year, and video tributes that feature some of the great accomplishments in Central New York during 2010.”
