ITHACA/CORTLAND -- The Cayuga Radio Group of Saga Communications has an opening for a programming and promotions person. We're told the lucky candidate will replace Jason Kester, who originally planned to leave in December, but he had delayed his departure until the spring.
Now that spring's here, Ops Manager Chris Allinger is once again looking for candidates. Here's the description he sent to us:
The Cayuga Radio Group is seeking a person who is ready to step into the world of programming. You'll learn scheduling of both staff and music, coordination and promotion of station events and you'll prepare and produce a daily airshift. You'll work for a company that values your skills and has the tools to move you to the next level.
If you're looking for a job that lets you do your shift and go home then you might enjoy working for the post office. The right person for this position is extremely organized, has on-air experience already and is motivated to make a career of making great radio.
