SYRACUSE -- The nationally-syndicated public radio game show Says You! has been known to visit Central New York from time to time. The latest trip was last month, when Oswego's WRVO brought the show to Syracuse to tape four episodes. This week, WRVO learned one of those episodes will air tomorrow, on dozens of affiliate stations nationwide. This week, a few pictures from those tapings.
Two episodes were taped at Eastwood's Palace Theater on Friday, November 16. Two more were taped at Hendricks Chapel on the Syracuse University campus the following evening.
WRVO's Leah Landry tells us this first shot with the Says You! crew was taken at the Palace Theater. Left to right, the woman in the black dress is Lenore Shannon. Next is is WRVO General Manager Michael S. Ameigh, Says You! host Richard Sher, Murray Horwitz, Carolyn Faye Fox, Paula Lyons, Arnie Reisman and Tony Kahn.
Here's a shot from later in the evening, with the cast on stage in front of a full house of fans.
And we wrap things up with a shot from one of the Saturday night tapings at Hendricks Chapel.
Says You! airs Saturdays at noon on 88.9 WRVO Oswego, 90.3 WRVD Syracuse, 91.7 WRVJ Watertown, 91.1 WRVN Utica, 90.1 WRCU Hamilton, 90.5 WSUC-FM Cortland, 89.3 WRVH Clayton and a handful of translators including a very-recent addition at 92.5 (W223BR) in Ithaca. Readers on the western fringe of our coverage area can catch Says You! at 4pm on Finger Lakes Public Radio 89.7 (WEOS) and 90.3 in Geneva.
Thanks again to WRVO's Leah Landry for sending along the photos and captions, and for Kleinberg Photography for taking the photos. We're always interested in taking a look at what's happening today in your local radio or TV station -- or a notable "blast from the past!" Just send those shots to cnyradio@cnyradio.com or upload through our Contact Form. There's a new Picture of the Week every Friday at 7:00am.
I LOVE "Says You." I only wish WRVO still had the 11am Sunday replay.
