STATE COLLEGE, PA -- Congratulations are in order for Loren Tobia, former news director at Syracuse CBS affiliate WTVH (1998 to 2005). After WTVH, Tobia went to work in sales for AccuWeather, and this past week, he was promoted to Executive Director of Sales for the company's Display Systems and Services division.

He continued, "AccuWeather has a legacy of leading the way in television weather technology and distribution, and I’m proud to continue the tradition by working with our partners to expand viewership and drive new revenues."
Including his time with WTVH, Tobia has more than 25 years of experience in broadcast news, including a total of 16 years as news director at two other stations prior to WTVH. Since 2001, Tobia has also served as Treasurer of the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). He was chairman of the organization in 1996.
