UTICA-ROME -- Townsquare Media's long-running adult contemporary Lite 98.7 (WLZW) is looking for a new morning co-host to sit alongside Dave Wheeler, following the recent exit of Envy McKee, who just joined the station last March. The posting calls for someone with "great on-air skills" along with the ability to be a "strong content creator and [...] to be the champion of the station on the streets."
As is the case with most on-air jobs at Townsquare, which describes itself as a "digital-first company," this one requires good skills with posting content to the station's website and engaging with audiences on social media. Thanks to New York State's pay transparency law, the posting indicates the job will pay somewhere between $40,000 and $50,000 per year.
The Lite 98.7 format has been in place since 1989, and often competes with sister station Big Frog 104 (WFRG) for the top two positions in the Utica-Rome Nielsen ratings.
