Update: Lite 98.7 Adds Jen Austin for Afternoons

UTICA-ROME — An update to a story from earlier this week: it appears Townsquare Media has replaced one nationwide voicetracker for another, adding Jen Austin to the afternoon drive slot at Lite 98.7 (WLZW).

Austin now appears on the “schedule” page of the Lite 98.7 website, less than two days after Minnesota-based voicetracker Jessica Williams announced she was let go from the company.

While she’s new to the adult contemporary station, Austin’s name and voice is already familiar to listeners of other Townsquare stations in the market:

She’s another nationwide talent whose voicetracks appear on classic rocker 96.9 WOUR during the midday shift …

…and on classic hits 96.1 The Eagle (WODZ) at night.

So, if you’re a really big Jen Austin fan for whatever random reason, and you happen to live in the Mohawk Valley (or anywhere else where Townsquare happens to have an AC, a classic rock and a classic hits station), you can now hear her generic, non-local voicetracks for up to 14 solid hours every weekday.

And following-up on another detail from our previous story, we noticed Dave Wheeler is still listed as the Brand Manager for not just WLZW but all three of Townsquare Utica’s FM stations, despite leaving the company 6 months ago.
