SYRACUSE — Citadel’s 93Q (WNTQ) might not be taking part in Balloonfest this year, but they’ve still got plans for a major concert, with former American Idol finalist Elliot Yamin and four other national recording artists.

SYRACUSE — In rather public fashion, Mike Lindsley has apparently resigned from Sportsradio 620 WHEN after learning his Yankees-themed talk show Pinstripe Passion was “pulled” from the lineup.

SYRACUSE – For the first time in more than 20 years, Rick Gary is back to just doing radio, and nothing else.  Today was his last day co-hosting “Bridge Street” on local ABC affiliate NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV).

SYRACUSE — About a week after 93Q (WNTQ) signed a deal with a new station imaging voice, the Citadel CHR’s sister rock station, Rock Radio 95X (WAQX) also has a new voice.

SYRACUSE — Galaxy Communications CEO Ed Levine received the 2009 Crystal Ball Award this evening from the Central New York Sales and Marketing Executives.

SYRACUSE — NewsChannel 9 is reporting that Galaxy Communications’ exclusive radio coverage deal to carry Syracuse University sports is being extended through 2013 — and the two sides are hoping to bring an NFL exhibition game to the Carrier Dome.

As if he doesn’t get enough media exposure already, Ryan Seacrest may soon get an extra hour of radio airtime over 130 “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” affiliates, including a few here in Central New York.
