Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday in Atlanta for Keith Eubanks who died on Saturday from complications of pneumonia. 570 WSYR weekend talk show host George Kilpatrick plans to "push the envelope" of local public television with his new show Access with George Kilpatrick. In the series, which airs Wednesdays at 11 p.m. on WCNY TV 24, Kilpatrick hopes to give voice to those with "strong opinions on often controversial topics."
Yahoo Radio is shutting down. The service which provides web streaming for hundreds of local radio stations will end its streaming of those stations within the week. In Syracuse that affects three stations owned by Citadel Communications: 93Q, 95X, and Lite 105.9. Yahoo plans to focus on Internet-only streaming including its own LaunchCast music service.
Gene Wolf, co-host of the long-running computer advice show Random Access, is heading south. Citing Central New York's sagging technology economy, Wolf plans to move to Florida by mid-summer to pursue business interests there.
