SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME — “Big Smoothie” is off the lineup at Galaxy’s KROCK stations after more than 8½ years on the trio of signals covering two neighboring radio markets. The longtime local radio personality confirmed his exit with an online video.

SYRACUSE — Celebrating a full year of “The Jim Reith Show Unleashed,” longtime local talk host Reith and Producer Bill Ali are going “live before a studio audience” for the 52nd installment of their podcast. It’s happening Saturday at the 443 Social Club and Lounge in Syracuse.

SYRACUSE — Longtime local sportscaster Jim Lerch has announced “The Manchild Show with Boy Green” is coming to an end this month. The show’s final episode on The Score 1260 (WSKO) will be Friday, June 27, two weeks from today.

SYRACUSE / UTICA-ROME — The trio of locally-owned KROCK stations announced plans for its “Krockathon Reboot” concert this morning. The July 26 show at the New York State Fairgrounds will feature three returning Krockathon bands along with two bands which are new to the Krockathon series.

ITHACA — Former Syracuse radio personality Dave Frisina is coming back to the airwaves in Central New York by way of his home studio in Florida. Today, Frisina announced his weekly show “Soulshine” will air on Ithaca’s WVBR 93.5 starting this weekend.

SYRACUSE — Locally-owned classic hits station Sunny 102 (WZUN) dedicated its broadcast studio to its longtime morning host and NYS Broadcasters Association Hall of Famer Rick Gary today.

SYRACUSE — The Mars Hill Network, headquartered at 102.9 WMHR in Syracuse, recently announced the arrival of a new morning host for its religious programming. A retired North Country pastor takes over the wake-up shift as the previous morning host moves to late afternoons and overnights.

SYRACUSE – Cumulus Media, the owner of three Syracuse radio stations, is being delisted by NASDAQ next week.  The moves comes after CMLS stock closed below the NASDAQ minimum of $1.00 every day since November 1, 2024.
