SYRACUSE -- Sources who tipped-off CNYTVNews.com about Jackie Robinson's retirement last week were right: late this afternoon, CNY Central officially announced Megan Coleman will be WSTM's new weeknight evening co-anchor.

SYRACUSE -- After 20 years at WTVH and more than three years at NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV), Keith Kobland is making the move to a new job outside of broadcasting. Today was Kobland's final day with the ABC affiliate.

SYRACUSE -- Although there are several options on cable and online for watching music videos, fans who prefer to get their music video fix on free broadcast TV are out of luck, after "The Cool TV" network recently disappeared from WNYS-TV digital subchannel 43.2.

SYRACUSE -- If you've been considering forming or joining a team for the 7th Annial Bill Leaf Memorial Kickball Tournament, it's time to stop procrastinating and get going.  The tournament is set for September 22, but the registration deadline -- September 12 -- is just a week away.

Updated 10:20pm with video -- SYRACUSE -- Looking at the current slate of television news reporters and anchors in Syracuse, we can think of only a couple of people who can say they've been at the same station for 34 years.  And tonight, that very select class is smaller by one, as Jackie Robinson retired from her decorated career with NBC 3 (WSTM).

UTICA-ROME -- It's been a little over a year since former Utica-Rome sports radio host Adam "The Bull" Gerstenhaber started his current job at 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland.  Gerstenhaber said he's really enjoying the job, in a recent interview with Don Laible of the Observer-Dispatch.

Updated 4:40pm -- SYRACUSE -- If you've noticed Jackie Robinson "off" from CNY Central's coverage of the New York State Fair the past few days, here's the reason: she's exiting from her position as WSTM's primary evening co-anchor, after more than three decades with the station.

SYRACUSE -- Earlier this week, we shared with you the sad news of the passing of former radio station owner Albert "Bud" Wertheimer. Today, the family is announcing plans for a memorial service at Syracuse's Landmark Theater next week.

SYRACUSE -- Including today, there's still four days left for this year's Great New York State Fair.  Many local radio and TV stations have a presence at the Fair every year, and since 2009, we've made it a point to find as many of those stations as possible and share photos in one big "Mega-Picture of the Week."  Where we usually just have one photo to share with you every Friday, today we've got..... 20!  If you're on a slower internet connection, give the page some extra time to load everything.

SYRACUSE -- Fifty years ago this September, "colorful channel 9" signed on the air for the very first time, from studios located at ShoppingTown Mall in DeWitt.  To mark the occasion, the ABC affiliate is selling tickets for a "50th Anniversary Celebration" planned for next month at the SRC Arena in Syracuse.
