WSYR radio sporting new logo and on-air branding

SYRACUSE -- It's no longer "News/Talk 106.9 and 570 WSYR."  Although the Clear Channel-owned station still runs the news/talk format, news anchors and traffic reporters now end their reports "...on Newsradio 570 WSYR, now on 106.9 FM."  A new logo on WSYR's website and social media feeds reflects the new phrasing.

Clear Channel stations raise $78k for children's hospital

SYRACUSE -- Clear Channel's six-station Syracuse cluster helped raise more than $78,000 for the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital last month.  That's the final total from the tenth annual "Radiothon for Kids," which was held over a three-day stretch last month.

Former WSYR-TV meteorologist Eichorn lands new media gig

SYRACUSE -- Longtime local broadcast meteorologist Dave Eichorn has a new job.  Today, the Syracuse Media Group announced it has hired Eichorn to create forecasts and provide analysis of local weather conditions for syracuse.com and the Post-Standard newspaper.  Eichorn tells CNYRadio.com he'll also continue to provide forecasts on the radio every weekday on Y94 (WYYY).

95X adds Robinson for mornings

SYRACUSE -- It's a new but familiar voice on mornings at 95X (WAQX), as the Cumulus-owned active rocker debuted The Robinson Show today.  The new wake-up host worked for 95X once before, as the station's night host in 2003.  In between, he's been working at Rochester stations WCMF and WBZA.
