ITHACA/CORTLAND -- After four years on the job, the producer of WHCU's Morning Newswatch is heading elsewhere. That means the station is on the lookout for a replacement. The part-time job carries a 20-hour schedule; four hours every weekday afternoon.
ITHACA/CORTLAND -- WHCU is among several new affiliates airing "The Wall Street Journal this Morning with Gordon Deal," according to a report published Wednesday. The news/talk station, owned by Saga Communications, is one of ten new affiliates for the 30-minute show, which airs locally at 5:30 weekday mornings.

ITHACA -- Plenty of good news at the end of 2010 for WHCU evening news anchor Syl Kacapyr is not-so-good news for the Saga-owned news/talker. Syl got engaged and got a new job, so now the station is looking to hire a replacement.
SAN FRANCISCO -- Several local radio stations may need to look for new programming, after the widely-syndicated Dr. Dean Edell announced yesterday that he's retiring from his medical advice show at the end of the year. The show has local affiliates in Syracuse, Utica-Rome and Ithaca/Cortland, among others.
