ITHACA/CORTLAND -- After more than 25 years of service with Ithaca's dominant radio cluster, Cayuga Radio Group GM Susan Johnston says she's looking forward to retirement. Her last day with the cluster, owned by Saga Communications, will be sometime near the end of March.

ITHACA -- Progressive Talk 1470 (WNYY) announced today it's bringing nationally-syndicated hosts Bill Press, Randi Rhodes and Alan Colmes to town. The "Fair and Unbalanced" show at Ithaca's Hangar Theatre is set for September 24 and tickets will go on sale this Saturday at 10am.

ITHACA -- Saga's Cayuga Radio Group is on the lookout for a traffic manager... meaning "schedule the commercials" kind of traffic, not the "Route 13 is jammed" kind of traffic. It's a fast paced job, and while experience is preferred -- especially with Marketron -- training will be provided for the right candidate.
ITHACA/CORTLAND -- According to an email alert issued to listeners at 12:03pm, Progressive Talk 1470 WNYY is off the air due to "a major electrical problem" at the transmitter site. But GM Susan Johnston says the station is still available for HD Radio listeners via WQNY-HD2.
