Lite Rock 105.9 (WLTI) morning host and program director Dave Allen has exited the station, and Citadel has started the search for a replacement. (Updated at 5:10pm with confirmation from Citadel management.)
A reliable source told us Citadel staffers received two memos about the matter this morning. The first memo ordered all spots and promos with Allen's voice to be removed from air and re-recorded. A second memo explained Allen is no longer employed by Citadel.
Update: Citadel Ops Manager Tom Mitchell confirms the move, telling CNYRadio.com that it was "Citadel management's decision to part ways with Dave," and the search for a replacement is underway. He supplied this job posting, which also appeared on AllAccess.com this morning:
