You might remember back in May, when our Weekly Poll asked, "How many more format flips will we see in CNY before the end of the year?" Well, it's the end of the year... so we thought it'd be fun to compare the poll results to what actually happened since May.
Our poll was inspired by the April format flips on WSEN and WFBL and the earlier "reimaging" of WJPZ. Here's what the poll looked like after a full week of voting:

So why do we say the readers were "sort of" right with their predictions? We didn't really have any massive format changes. (And not surprisingly, given the state of the economy, compared to the high price of properly promoting a format launch.) However, there were three new station launches in CNYRadio.com territory since May:
So, if you count new station launches as format flips and you voted in the "1-3" range, give yourself a pat on the back. If you don't count new stations as format flips, then you can give yourself a pat on the back if you voted for "zero."
Stay tuned -- we'll begin your New Year's Eve with a complete look back at the past year in our "CNYRadio.com 2008 Year in Review." It's a bullet-point list of the top stories from CNYRadio.com's first year back in business, broken down month-by-month. We were honestly surprised when we looked back and realized how much happened during this year!
