Updated 12/18 at 7:30pm: ROCHESTER -- Less than six months after Rick "RJ" Jordan signed a deal to work in promotions for Stroudavarious Records, he's on the move again.
AllAccess.com reported earlier this week Jordan's new title is Northeast Director of Marketing and Promotion for Nashville-based Golden Records. But Jordan won't need to call any moving trucks -- he's still calling Rochester his base of operations.
Jordan tells CNYRadio.com this is the first time he's resigned from one label to work for another. Earlier in his career as a label rep, Jordan faced some tough breaks, being forced to find new work after two previous employers -- 903 Music and Country Thunder Records -- both ceased operations.
RJ also reminds us he still remains active as an on-air personality, working part-time at Rochester's Legends 102.7 (WLGZ) in Rochester, with occasional fill-ins at MOViN 100.3 (WMVN) in Syracuse. Prior to becoming a label rep, Jordan programmed several stations in CNYRadio.com territory, including Syracuse's B104.7 (WBBS) and Sandy Creek's WSCP, along with stations in Ithaca, Rochester, Binghamton, Utica, Watertown and Canton.
