SYRACUSE -- ABC affiliate NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV) has an opening for a web producer, to help write stories and post video to the station's website, 9WSYR.com. The job was just posted today, but as of this writing, it's not on the station's own website:
We found this job posted on the New York State Broadcasters Association website, described as follows:
9wsyr.com is looking for a strong Full time writer with web publishing skills. Daily responsibilities include writing, posting video and graphics, and some minor design. Knowledge of a working newsroom is a plus. Please send resume to: News/Personnel, WSYR-TV, 5904 Bridge St., East Syracuse, NY 13057. No phone calls, please. EOE
Of course, if you're looking for something more managerial, the station's website still lists that News Director opening which has been up since mid-May. No word yet on who is leaving the station (or changing positions) to create room for the new job opening.
Stations, please remember to include cnyradio@cnyradio.com on your distribution list for job openings and we'll be more than happy to share them right here on CNYRadio.com and CNYTVNews.com. It's a FREE service, and it's another recruitment source you can list on your station's public file. Even if you're not a station manager, but you've spotted a local broadcasting job we haven't published here yet, help us help local jobseeking broadcasters -- send the job to that same email address or use our Contact Form.
