SYRACUSE -- Sunny 102 (WZUN) has announced the lineup of local musicians scheduled to perform at "Big Mike's 32nd Annual Live Hometown Christmas Broadcast." Nearly 20 groups will be performing next Friday, December 13. You can listen live on Sunny 102, or you can enjoy free admission and breakfast treats while you watch the performances in-person at Driver's Village in Cicero.
Morning co-host "Big Mike" Fiss tells CNYRadio.com the doors at Driver's Village will open at 6:00am, and the performances will take place in Center Court of the automotive dealership complex that, years ago, was the Penn-Can shopping mall. Food and refreshments will be provided by Dunkin' Donuts, Brickhouse Cafe and Meadowbrook Dairy.
Here's the schedule of performances provided by Fiss:
Usually known for classic hits, Sunny 102 is temporarily branding itself as "The Christmas Music Station," playing wall-to-wall holiday hits since November 19. For the past several years, WZUN rolled out the Christmas tunes at the stroke of midnight on November 1, but -- citing listener feedback -- the station held-off until the opening of the annual "Lights on the Lake" event, for which Sunny 102 provides the "official" soundtrack.
