SYRACUSE -- A day after announcing the exit of Hall of Fame broadcaster Rick Gary from its Sunny 102 (WZUN), Galaxy Media Partners announced several back office promotions including a new Chief Operating Officer and a new Chief Content Officer.

Nick Maine is the company's new COO, replacing Carrie Wojtaszek. In a statement, Galaxy said of Maine:

After several years of driving revenue growth and strengthening strategic partnerships, Nick will now oversee company-wide operations, ensuring alignment across departments and continued operational excellence. Having been an instrumental asset to the company since 2011, Nick’s deep understanding of Galaxy Media’s business strategy and long-term vision positions him well to support the company’s continued expansion. “Central New York has always been home for me. I’ve built my career, raised my family, and developed lasting partnerships with the businesses, organizations, and sports franchises that define this region. Galaxy Media has given me the opportunity to grow as a leader while making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve, and I’m proud to continue supporting the people, families, and neighbors who make Central New York such a strong place to live and work” said Maine.

Next on the list, 14-year company veteran Alex Conn is the company's new Chief Content Officer, replacing Marissa Greenlar, who recently exited the company to focus full-time on the company she launched in 2024. Galaxy said of Conn:

In his new role, Alex will lead Galaxy Media’s content strategy and creative direction across Galaxy’s 13 radio stations. Alex’s innovative brand leadership, and longstanding content development have played a key role in strengthening Galaxy Media’s audience engagement as a radio personality and behind-the-scenes key asset.

The company also promoted:

  • 25-year veteran Jennifer Wells from Business Manager to Controller. Galaxy said "Jennifer has been instrumental in overseeing financial operations, improving internal processes, and supporting the company’s financial health. In her new role, she will continue to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, and fiscal strategy."
  • 16-year veteran Tami Grashof is now Regional Sales Manager. The company said Grashof "has played a key role in driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and mentoring sales teams across the region. Her deep knowledge of the market, commitment to client success, and collaborative leadership style have made her a trusted partner to both advertisers and colleagues."
  • Brittany Capparelli has been promoted from Event Marketing Specialist to the company's Director of Client Experience. "With a strong background in event marketing and execution in the Syracuse and surrounding areas, Brittany has played an integral role in the success of Galaxy Media’s large-scale events and client partnerships. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening client relationships and enhancing the overall experience across all Galaxy Media events and initiatives," the company stated.

Summing up the round of promotions, Galaxy founder and CEO Ed Levine said, "These promotions are a pivotal moment for Galaxy Media. We’re energized to celebrate our team’s growth and excited for the leadership, creativity, and drive they bring as we shape the next chapter of our company."

The 13 stations owned by Galaxy include Syracuse's classic rockers TK99/TK105 (WTKV/WTKW), adult contemporary Sunny 102 (WZUN), ESPN Radio Syracuse (WTLA/WSGO) and K-ROCK (WKRH/WKRL).

In the Utica-Rome market, the cluster includes a third (but historically, the first) K-ROCK (WKLL) station, hot AC Mix 102.5 (WUMX), Tony 99.1 (WIXT) and ESPN Radio Utica-Rome (WTLB*/WRNY).
