SYRACUSE -- A day after announcing the exit of Hall of Fame broadcaster Rick Gary from its Sunny 102 (WZUN), Galaxy Media Partners announced several back office promotions including a new Chief Operating Officer and a new Chief Content Officer.
Nick Maine is the company's new COO, replacing Carrie Wojtaszek. In a statement, Galaxy said of Maine:
After several years of driving revenue growth and strengthening strategic partnerships, Nick will now oversee company-wide operations, ensuring alignment across departments and continued operational excellence. Having been an instrumental asset to the company since 2011, Nick’s deep understanding of Galaxy Media’s business strategy and long-term vision positions him well to support the company’s continued expansion. “Central New York has always been home for me. I’ve built my career, raised my family, and developed lasting partnerships with the businesses, organizations, and sports franchises that define this region. Galaxy Media has given me the opportunity to grow as a leader while making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve, and I’m proud to continue supporting the people, families, and neighbors who make Central New York such a strong place to live and work” said Maine.
Next on the list, 14-year company veteran Alex Conn is the company's new Chief Content Officer, replacing Marissa Greenlar, who recently exited the company to focus full-time on the company she launched in 2024. Galaxy said of Conn:
In his new role, Alex will lead Galaxy Media’s content strategy and creative direction across Galaxy’s 13 radio stations. Alex’s innovative brand leadership, and longstanding content development have played a key role in strengthening Galaxy Media’s audience engagement as a radio personality and behind-the-scenes key asset.

Summing up the round of promotions, Galaxy founder and CEO Ed Levine said, "These promotions are a pivotal moment for Galaxy Media. We’re energized to celebrate our team’s growth and excited for the leadership, creativity, and drive they bring as we shape the next chapter of our company."
