Kevin Hoverstad, a longtime Jazz 88 (WAER) volunteer, died on January 31 less than two years after receiving a lung transplant. Hoverstad, who was Dean of Academic Administration at Bryant & Stratton College, hosted WAER's Sunday morning program New Age Morning for nearly 20 years. Robert McCabe, a former WOLF 1490 AM staffer and morning show engineer for 570 WSYR in Syracuse died earlier this month. McCabe, who was 84, lived in LeRoy, outside of Rochester.
