OSWEGO -- After four years as an award-winning reporter/producer in the WRVO newsroom, Jasmyn Belcher is packing up and moving to New York City. She's accepted a position as an Associate Producer at StoryCorps, an oral history project that produces interviews heard nationwide on NPR's Morning Edition.

SYRACUSE -- We had a double-take while reading a "letter to the editor" in today's Syracuse Post-Standard ... and thought it was worth sharing with CNYRadio.com readers too.  The writer argues choices are limited -- in the same sentence after listing several different formats available on the dial.

ALBANY -- We now have a complete listing of winners from the 44th Annual Excellence in Broadcasting Awards, presented by the New York State Broadcasters Association on Monday night during a ceremony in Bolton Landing. SYRACUSE -- We continue to hear from local winners at the 44th annual Excellence in Broadcasting Awards, handed out by the New York State Broadcasters' Association on Monday night.  Citadel's 93Q (WNTQ) is the latest to check-in, taking home an award for "Best Local Interactive Sales Campaign."

SYRACUSE -- We continue to track down details about local winners from the New York State Broadcasters Association's 44th Annual Excellence in Broadcasting awards. Thanks to one of his co-workers, we've learned TK99/105 (WTKW/WTKV) morning co-host Dave Coombs is on the list. He won his third "Outstanding Sportcast" award at the ceremony on Monday night.

SYRACUSE -- At least four national recording artists will be coming to Syracuse for "Summer Crush 2010," a concert announced this morning on Clear Channel's Hot 107.9 (WWHT). SAN ANTONIO, TX -- Nearly a year after his brother Randy gave up the presidency of Clear Channel, Mark Mays has announced he's resigning as the company's CEO.  Clear Channel owns six stations in the Syracuse market, including three of the top five stations according to the latest publicly-available ratings P12+.
