Citadel Broadcasting could be forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection early next year, unless it can form a deal with creditors by mid-January.  The owner of more than 200 radio stations -- including four in Syracuse -- admitted that possibility in a quarterly filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

SYRACUSE -- You can expect to hear some new imaging on two Foxfur Communications stations.  MOViN 100.3/96.5 (WMVU/WMVN) and New Country WOLF 105.1 have both signed on with Arkansas-based JJ Ryan Audio Productions.  Ryan, also an air talent in that state, has ties to Central New York.

TOWN OF CLAY -- A number of guest appearances on the show he used to produce apparently didn't help Dan McIntyre's campaign.  The former Jim Reith Show producer lost his bid for Town of Clay Supervisor on Tuesday night, according to unofficial results posted by the Onondaga County Board of Elections.

SYRACUSE/UTICA -- Once again, the first Monday in November means the beginning of 24/7 Christmas music on the radio in Central New York.  As of midnight, Galaxy Syracuse AC Sunny 102 (WZUN) and Utica-Rome Hot AC Mix 102.5 (WUMX) started playing holiday hits.

SAN ANTONIO -- Randall Mays is no longer President and CFO of CC Media Holdings, according to a document filed this morning with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.  Randall's brother Mark, the company's CEO, is now also serving as interim CFO until a permanent replacement is named.

SYRACUSE -- According to AllAccess, the new CNY Talk Radio (WFBL) is among four new affiliates of The Money Pit. SYRACUSE -- The WRVO Stations have announced plans today to host a debate among the three primary candidates running for Syracuse Mayor this fall. The debate will air next Friday and Saturday, but you can attend the "live-to-tape" event next Thursday at the Everson Museum in Syracuse.
