Roger Springfield sentence: 5 years probation June 6th, 2013 SYRACUSE — Former WSTM-TV sports director Roger Springfield will be on probation for five years, after admitting he secretly videotaped student athletes in locker rooms while working as media director for Syracuse University Athletics. This morning’s court sentence allows Springfield to avoid having to register as a sex offender.
Newhouse to name upgraded studios after broadcast icon Dick Clark June 6th, 2013 SYRACUSE — When Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications finishes its $18 million overhaul of its “Newhouse 2” building, the studios within will be named after Dick Clark. The widow of the legendary broadcaster announced the honor during Newhouse’s annual Mirror Awards on Wednesday.
