OSWEGO -- Public radio fans who live in or travel through northern New York have a new option to catch programming from WRVO Public Media. The station's newest full-power repeater, WRVH, is now on the air at 89.3FM.
OSWEGO -- NPR affiliate WRVO, with help from its various repeater stations across the region, appears to be the leader among public radio stations in the Syracuse and Utica-Rome markets. Radio Research Consortium released the numbers this week.
OSWEGO -- Just shy of three years since leaving WRVO, Tom Herbert has rejoined the NPR affiliate's underwriting sales team. Since leaving WRVO in 2009, Herbert had been working in a similar role for the Mars Hill Christian Radio Network, which is headquartered in Syracuse.

OSWEGO -- Responding to audience ratings and listener requests, WRVO Public Media has announced a flurry of changes to its program schedule, set to take effect two weeks from Monday. Two new programs each from NPR and CBC will be added, while some existing programs will be shifted to new timeslots.
SYRACUSE -- National Public Radio "Political Junkie" Ken Rudin is heard on radios nationwide every Wednesday during Talk of the Nation, and next week, local fans will have the chance to see and hear Rudin speaking in person. WRVO Public Media is selling tickets for Rudin's appearance in Syracuse next Thursday, May 31.
