Hot 107-9's (WWHT) soon-to-be former program director Jason Kidd has been named winner of this year's Central New York Sales And Marketing Executive Award. The award is given to someone who does an "outstanding job of successfully executing the winning principles of sales and marketing." Kidd recently announced he's leaving Syracuse for another Clear Channel station in Pittsburgh.
Citadel Syracuse operations manager Tom Mitchell has added consulting duties for Binghamton's WYOS (soon to be WWYL) as it switches from Oldies to Top 40. WPXY Rochester's 'Norm on the Barstool' (known now as K.J. Bryant) takes over as program director of the newly-branded 'New Hit Music Station, Wild 104'.
In what has become an annual tradition, Lite 105.9 last week raised $41,135 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during the station's Lite Loves Kids radiothon held at Shoppingtown Mall.
All Things Considered co-host Noah Adams begins a year-long leave of absence this week to write a book about Orville and Wilbur Wright. The 100th anniversary of the brothers' first flight is in 2003. National Public Radio's All Things Considered airs afternoons on WRVO FM 90 and Jazz 88 WAER.

Bob Mitchell's WOLF tribute site has a new domain name as of this week. The new URL is: www.wolf1490.net. Mitchell recently worked out some technical issues with Tripod's hosting service and says, "the new domain will hopefully be in place for a long time to come, no matter where the actual site is located."
The SkyChiefs have a new radio home. After being dropped from SportsRadio 620 WHEN last month, team management inked a one-year deal with ESPN Radio 1260 WNSS to broadcast the team's 144 regular-season games.
Syracuse morning radio veteran Bill Baker returns to the airwaves of Central New York today as midday host at Classic FM (WCNY 91.3 FM).

Following the death earlier this month of Syracuse radio legend 'Dandy Dan' Leonard, Syracuse New Times writers Allen Czelusniak and Bill DeLapp have put together a retrospective of Leonard's career which included a stint as a New Times writer in the 1970's.
