SYRACUSE — After working in various capacities at Cumulus Media’s 95X (WAQX) for most of the past nine years, Kevin Keefe is moving upward — both in terms of geography and title.   As of next Monday, he’ll officially start as the General Manager of a three-station cluster in Ogdensburg, along the Saint Lawrence River.

INDIANAPOLIS — First they were on the radio, then they were also on cable TV. Now, the nationally-synduicated Bob & Tom Show, carried locally in Syracuse and Watertown, and formerly in Utica, is back to being a radio-only show.

WATERTOWN — Despite the fact the numbers were recalculated after two in-tab diaries were discarded from the Fall 2009 survey period, there do not appear to be any major surprises in the latest Arbitron ratings released for the Watertown market… or in the re-issued Fall 2009 numbers.

WATERTOWN — The Fall 2009 ratings are out for the Watertown market, and there are no big surprises: perennial leader Froggy 97 (WFRY) and its country format continue to lead the pack. CHR “The Border” (WBDR) appears to be gaining steam, but remains a distant second.

WATERTOWN — The Spring 2009 Arbitron ratings for the Watertown market are out, and the “public” Persons 12+ numbers show Stephens Media Group’s Froggy 97 (WFRY) maintaining a very comfortable lead over the competition.

WATERTOWN — The station formerly known as WOTT (which moved down the dial to 94.1FM on Monday) is now going by the name “100.7 The Fox,” with call letters WEFX-FM.  The new classic hits station launched at noon today, after stunting with TV theme songs ever since WOTT made its move.

WATERTOWN – Real Rock WOTT has a slightly new name (reminiscent of an old radio war from Syracuse decades ago) and a new frequency, as owner Community Broadcasters fires up a brand new FM signal in the north country.

WATERTOWN — For the first time since Fall 2004, Arbitron has lifted its embargo on the Persons 12+ numbers for the Watertown market.  One thing that clearly hasn’t changed since 2004: country music is still king in the North Country.

Affiliates of The Sean Hannity Show are being asked to meet some lofty demands when they renew their affiliation contracts for 2009, including the carriage of a new 3-hour “best-of” show on weekends.
