SYRACUSE -- When the new CBS Sports Radio network launches on January 2, the lineup on "select stations" will include a graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Damon Amendolara, who was Sports Director of WAER prior to graduating in 2001, has been assigned to the network's overnight shift.

At a ceremony last week in Washington, DC, legendary newsman Ted Koppel was honored as the Hall of Fame's very first inductee.
