AUBURN -- Former WAUB 1590 owner Richard "Dick" Morgan has died. Although Morgan owned the station for only a few years in the 1990s, he spent more than 30 years working at the station, starting out as an announcer.
SAN FRANCISCO -- Several local radio stations may need to look for new programming, after the widely-syndicated Dr. Dean Edell announced yesterday that he's retiring from his medical advice show at the end of the year. The show has local affiliates in Syracuse, Utica-Rome and Ithaca/Cortland, among others.

AUBURN -- For many years, he hosted The Polka Party on Auburn's WAUB 1590. He was so well-liked in the community, he also spent plenty of time behind the mic off-air, as the emcee of many local events. Donald Fordham passed away on Wednesday at the age of 82.
GENEVA -- Three stations in the Finger Lakes Radio Group have been fined $10,000 each -- for being honest about their public files lacking information about certain issues which aired on the stations prior to 2001.
