UTICA-ROME — A video posted on social media by Townsquare Media’s Big Frog 104 (WFRG) reveals former Galaxy staffer Brett Hall is joining the longtime country powerhouse as Polly Wogg’s co-host. Hall’s set to make his on-air debut this coming Monday, August 3.

According to his Facebook profile, Hall exited Galaxy on July 20. He worked for more than 8 years at the Syracuse-based company’s Utica-Rome cluster, serving in various roles including on-air, production and as traffic manager. He was also the night host on 96.9 WOUR from 2013 to 2019.

Here’s the reveal as posted by Big Frog 104:

The video begins with Polly Wogg (Stacey McAdams) alongside Tad Pole (Bill McAdams), her real-life husband. (For those keeping score, he retired in 2022 but has temporarily returned to the role twice to fill-in between his replacements.) After a few seconds, he stands up, walks out of the shot, and after a quick jump-cut, Hall walks into the shot and asks, “Is this seat taken?”

With Townsquare replacing many of their local jocks with company-wide voicetracking or syndication over the past few years, the 100,000-watt flamethrower found itself in an odd position back in February. After previous morning co-host Dave Wheeler left for a new job across town while Polly Wogg was away on an annual station-sponsored listener cruise vacation, the station had no choice but to run a jockless morning show with generic liners.

No word yet on whether Hall will adopt a Frog-themed alias for the new gig… but we suspect his addition to the staff makes it much easier for Polly to look “full steam ahead” to her next cruise with her audience, heading to Alaska next May.
