Syracuse University basketball coach Jim Boeheim will be in the hot seat when NPR's quiz show Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me comes to town this fall.

Dick Carr continues to add affiliates to the roster of stations airing his weekly syndicated Big Bands Ballads & Blues.

WEAR's Eric Wellman has been awarded the Hearst Prize in radio journalism for his coverage of the Northeast blackout of 2003. The kudos come with a $5,000 check for Wellman and also for Syracuse University. Wellman, a reporter for WAER, is a student at the Newhouse School.

Y94FM is dusting off its disco ball for the station's annual Disco Reunion concert Friday, August 6th at the State Fairgrounds. This year's lineup includes The Ladies of Chic, Bonnie Pointer from the Pointer Sisters, Carol Williams from Odyssey, and Sal Soul Orchestra. The cover band Dyn-o-mite Disco Revue will also be on hand.
