As Paul Harvey would say, “and now, the rest of the story.”  Earlier this week, we told you Citadel’s Syracuse cluster has a new GM… and today, we know what’s happening to the old one.  David Calabrese is headed west.

Citadel Syracuse’s new Market Manager is coming from Albany, according to an article published Friday by the Albany Business Review.  Dan Austin — who calls Syracuse his hometown — will begin in Syracuse on May 12.

We almost forgot — yesterday was the 2-month anniversary of CNYRadio.com’s revival!  Just as we did last month, we thought it might be fun to tally up the numbers for the most-viewed stories and other various stats from the past 30 days.

Galaxy’s Mix 102.5 (WUMX Rome) has a new morning host, according to AllAccess.com and confirmed by Program Director Ted Bradford.  The new guy’s name is Sammy Schrier, and he hails from Entercom’s WBEE (Rochester), where he served as morning show producer.

Newsradio 570 WSYR is once again picking up the leave-behinds from WFBL’s abandoned news/talk format. The station is airing promos stating it will begin carrying Laura Ingraham on Sunday afternoons, starting May 4.

It’s our first POTW from Watertown! There’s no joke at these pumps — with gas prices skyrocketing, Watertown’s Froggy 97 invoked a tried and true tactic to earn big brownie points with listeners earlier this month.

The press office of New York State Governor David A. Paterson today announced a statewide “radio town hall tour,” which begins next week.  On Tuesday, Paterson is scheduled to appear on The Jim Reith Show on Syracuse’s Newsradio 570 WSYR.  The talk show airs weekdays from 3-7pm.

Skip Clark has been filling in on mornings for MOViN 100.3/96.5 for quite some time, and now, multiple sources report that change is permanent.  Clark has also been promoted to Program Director, and there are some other changes at the station.
