SYRACUSE – After nearly a decade at CNY Central, investigative reporter Mary Kielar has announced she’s heading to a new job in Las Vegas.

SYRACUSE — Updating a story we first brought you last week, CNY Central is reporting some minor issues on Monday morning, as the Sinclair-owned cluster moves CBS programming from its longtime home on WTVH 5.1 to its new home on WKOF 15.1.

SYRACUSE – Starting Monday, the local CBS affiliate will be moving from it’s longtime home on channel 5 (WTVH) to a new channel.

SYRACUSE — Longtime TK99 morning host Glenn “Gomez” Adams is now a published author. You can grab a signed copy of “You’re Caller Number 7, Please Try Again” at the book’s official launch party tonight. If you can’t make it, you can buy a print or electronic copy of the book online.

SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME — “Big Smoothie” is off the lineup at Galaxy’s KROCK stations after more than 8½ years on the trio of signals covering two neighboring radio markets. The longtime local radio personality confirmed his exit with an online video.

UTICA-ROME — The Mohawk Valley’s heritage CHR pair, 97.9/105.5 KISS-FM (WSKS/WSKU), has removed Roscoe Red from its lineup this past week, according to news tips from CNYRadio.com readers.

SYRACUSE — Celebrating a full year of “The Jim Reith Show Unleashed,” longtime local talk host Reith and Producer Bill Ali are going “live before a studio audience” for the 52nd installment of their podcast. It’s happening Saturday at the 443 Social Club and Lounge in Syracuse.

SYRACUSE — Longtime local sportscaster Jim Lerch has announced “The Manchild Show with Boy Green” is coming to an end this month. The show’s final episode on The Score 1260 (WSKO) will be Friday, June 27, two weeks from today.

SYRACUSE / UTICA-ROME — The trio of locally-owned KROCK stations announced plans for its “Krockathon Reboot” concert this morning. The July 26 show at the New York State Fairgrounds will feature three returning Krockathon bands along with two bands which are new to the Krockathon series.

ITHACA — Former Syracuse radio personality Dave Frisina is coming back to the airwaves in Central New York by way of his home studio in Florida. Today, Frisina announced his weekly show “Soulshine” will air on Ithaca’s WVBR 93.5 starting this weekend.
