UTICA-ROME -- While your editor was at the Great New York State Model Train Fair this past weekend at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, his eyes were quickly scanning the vendor tables for good deals. ALBANY -- It's been almost a month since we caught word of the pending retirement of New York State Broadcasters Association President Joe Reilly. Today, the NYSBA finally got around to rolling out a formal announcement good payroll management about Reilly's departure and details about the search for a replacement.
SYRACUSE -- Longtime NewsChannel 9 anchor Rod Wood is spending the next three to six weeks at home, after the station says he underwent prostate cancer surgery earlier this week. But he'll be back on TV briefly next week, telling his story during a series of reports on prostate cancer.
OSWEGO -- It's the biggest night of the year for virtually every newsroom in the country: Election Night. And WRVO is no exception. The station had "all hands on deck" to report the results, along with a few special guests providing analysis.
