SYRACUSE -- Statewide and regional coverage of Syracuse University Athletics will be expanding almost immediately thanks to a new deal the school has signed with SNY, the sports network that's already well-known for carriage of New York Mets baseball, Jets football, and the Big East Conference.
SYRACUSE -- Syndicated host Michael Baisden, whose show is carried during afternoon drive on Clear Channel's Power 106.9 (WPHR) was in Syracuse last night. The appearance at the Crouse-Hinds Theater was part of Baisden's "One Million Mentors" tour of the country.
SYRACUSE -- Observant CNYRadio.com readers have noticed something interesting on their TV screens: program listings for WSYR-DT's 9.2 subchannel show timeslots devoted to local hosts from Newsradio 570 WSYR... but so far, neither host has appeared on TV during their respective listed timeslots. Updated 5:30pm with a correction - UTICA-ROME -- Sean Hannity is about to get more air time in the Mohawk Valley. Newsradio 950 WIBX, which has carried Hannity's "best of" shows on Sundays, will be adding the conservative talker to its weekday lineup, starting Monday. As a result, Laura Ingraham is out and WIBX is shuffling a few other shows to new timeslots.

WATERTOWN -- Local sports-talk fans in the North Country will soon get more of their daily "fix" during the ride home from work. Matt McClusky announced today that his ESPN Radio 1410 (WNER) show, MattMc's Sports Fix, will be adding another hour next month.
SYRACUSE -- Vinny Lopez, Director of Engineering at Fox 68 (WSYT) and My43 (WNYS) has been re-elected as President for the Society of Broadcast Engineers. The new one-year term begins next month at SBE's annual membership meeting.
